Disney Things to Do When You Can’t Leave the House

I get it, it’s not fun to be stuck indoors, so many of us are looking for ways to pass the time. There’s mandatory social distancing and going above and beyond to sanitize everything. And sadly, Disney Parks in the United States are closing through the end of March 2020. So, if you were dreaming of visiting the parks during this time and had to cancel a reservation or just want a Disney fix to get you through, I’m right there with you. Here are my top Disney things to do when you can’t leave the house.

Stuck in the house and looking for fun Disney things to do? From crafts to recipes to games and coloring pages, here are fun Disney things to do when you're stuck inside! #Disney #DisneyCrafts #DisneyDIY #DisneyMovies #DisneyRecipes #DisneyThingstodo

FYI: In case you need the information, here’s how to cancel a Disney World reservation.

1. Download and Stream Disney+

If you’re going to be in the house for days on end, Disney+ is a great way to spend some time catching up on new series or watching favorite movies. For my house, it’s The Mandalorian (who doesn’t love The Child, aka Baby Yoda?)

True, there is a monthly cost, but if you’re a Verizon Wireless customer, you can get Disney+ for free for 12 months. If you haven’t already signed for free Disney+ from Verizon up, here’s the link to do it.

If you’d like another Disney movie alternative, Netflix does have some movies and cartoons from Disney, too.

2. Make Some Disney Crafts

Minnie DIY Disney Easter Wreath: easy and affordable

I love Pinterest for looking up anything and everything Disney, so start browsing Disney Crafts and make something pretty. Considering Easter and spring is around the corner, wreaths and wall decor is always fun to make.

Here’s my tutorial for a DIY Minnie Easter Wreath for under $10.

Three cool crafts from A Princess and Her Pirates:

  • DIY Minnie Mouse Shirts
  • Collector Pin Shadow Box
  • Disney Autograph Collector Quilt

Pretty in Baby Food has a super easy Toy Story 4 Forky craft – perfect for making after you binge watch the movies.

Make some matching Disney shirts for your next visit to the parks. Thanks, Theme Park Parents, for the cool tutorial.

Mama’s Geeky has some good Disney things to do:

  • Gigantosaurus clothespin dinosaur eggs
  • Ralph Breaks the Internet Coloring Pages
  • Disney Activity Sheets, Coloring Pages, and Recipes

The Farm Girl Gabs has some great Disney crafting resources:

3. Play Some Disney-Themed Games

These Disney games can be played by printing or playing online:

Disney Game of Things from The Pickled Procrastinator

Disney Pictionary from Bombshell Bling

Play Party Plan has two fun games that you can print:

Disney Board Game and Trivia Questions

Free Printable Disney Matching Game

All Done Adulting has a list of 15 Disney games to play based on age – consider ordering and have them delivered to your house.

Again, Pinterest is where I love to find inspiration, so search Disney games for a huge list.

4. Make Some Disney-Inspired Meals and Snacks

If I’m stuck in the house due to illness, bad weather, whatever, I love to hit up my pantry and bake. It’s a fun way to pass time, plus it’s very rewarding. Here are some fun recipes to try, but again, Pinterest is my go-to for recipe inspiration.

When I’m jonesing being at a Disney park, I love planning and perusing for my next vacation.

There are tons of amazing online articles about planning for your next Disney vacation, and I’m happy to write that I cover plenty of topics including how to save money, must-dos, Fastpass+ tips, and even dining.

6. Sing along to Your Favorite Songs, Karaoke-Style

YouTube Disney karaoke songs with lyrics

When I’m in the comfort of my own home, I’m all about singing out loud. So, why not get the family involved and to a good, old karaoke sing-along with a Disney kick, right?

I always like searching Disney karaoke songs with lyrics on YouTube and using those videos. Plus, it’s nice brush up on Disney song lyrics.

What are your favorite Disney things to do when you can’t leave the house? Leave me a comment below!

7. Watch POVs of Your Favorite Park

If I can’t be in the Disney parks, I love watching front row attraction povs and videos of people watching. While it’s not the same, it does give me a feeling of happiness – and that’s one we all need right now.
