10 Days to Drastically Improve Aging Skin with DCL Skincare

DCL Skincare 10 Day Challenge

As a gal that loves reading about and testing new skincare products, I was excited to learn that a skin company is changing the game with its new line. DCL Skincare (from Derm Warehouse) has products that targets the four important skin layers to keep us looking our more youthful. The company is hosting a fun 10-day #DCLSwitch Skincare Challenge, too. So, I gave it a go to test drive the line and see if it really does what it claims. The results? Keep reading.

Truth? I never lie about my age. The fun for me is when folks learn my age because it catches them off guard. For my last birthday I posted a photo on Facebook that was untouched and I received so many compliments about how young I look. And here’s the reasons why: I don’t smoke, I drink alcohol very little, and I try to stay out of the sun as much as possible. When I am in the sun, I make sure to use sunblock religiously, too. I also have taken care of my skin by keeping the moisture levels balanced and in check. Yes, even oily skin needs moisture.

And, while we’re chatting about skin, think back to health class for a minute. Remember the discussion about how skin has three basic layers? The dermis, epidermis, and hypodermis? Hopefully that’s all coming back to you. What I didn’t remember was that each layer has separate layers as well. It’s these important places that the DCL Skincare line targets. In a nutshell, Here’s its line, what it does, and where it pinpoints.

Skin Renewal Complex

First important point: DCL Skin Renewal Complex has a built-in SPF 30 – yay! The sun is a main cause of premature aging and I’d like to keep my skin looking the opposite, thank you. This is a five-in-one refining hydrator that I use during the day. Its special kick? A healthy dose of glycolic acid and Green Tea extract. There’s also light, but effective, moisturizers. Beneficial for the Stratum Corneum skin layer (the outermost layer of the epidermis). It has a nice, light scent that reminds me of summer and doesn’t go on heavy at all. It’s hypo-allergenic and non-comodogenic as well. I use this first thing in the morning and it’s light enough to use under make-up. There’s a super-light tingling sensation (some folks feel it, some don’t) compliments of the gylcolic acid but it goes away after a minute or two.

DCL Peptide Plus Cream

This is pure beauty in a jar! The Peptide Plus Cream is a richer formula and filled with seven clinically active peptides. There’s also four anti-aging complexes jam-packed in the formula as well. What I love most? The healthy dose of Vitamin C to not only diminish the signs of sun spots but keep them at bay. I use this once a day and will swap out the Skin Renewal Complex when I’m at home with no plans to put on make-up.

Hydra Boost Finishing Serum

A little goes a long way with the Hydra Boost Finishing Serum. I use it on my face, neck, and décolletage (fancy word for upper chest area!) and can pair it with the Skin Renewal Complex by layering it over with no problem to really give my skin some help. The Hyaluronic Acid rejuvenates my skin, there’s a very subtle scent which is not annoying at all, and it gives my skin a light glow.

You know how sleep replenishes your body and mind? There’s no harm in replenishing your skin, too, right? Put C Scape High Potency Night Booster 30 on right before you go to bed for the best results. I’m loving its citrusy scent! It’s packed with skin goodies including a 30% concentration of L-ascorbic acid to boost collagen production and a Vitamin C complex that’s released into skin as soon as you put it on, as well as over time, to give it the maximum absorption benefits. It also offers skin brighteners to even out skin tone and give a more uniform complexion. This is the heaviest of the line so I did notice that it was on my skin. It wasn’t a problem, though.

Final Thoughts on the DCL Line

I’m going to be totally honest with you, just like I am with any other product that I review. First thought, I love the light scent of each of the four products I test drove. Second, the packaging is so clean and classy – love that!

But what about the products themselves? Did they really work? Here’s my thoughts on them. I’ve been taking care of my skin for decades so, while I noticed an improvement in the tone and fine lines, I didn’t notice a gigantic difference that, say, a woman in her 50’s or 60’s that has never taken care of her skin may have. But, in the 10 days I used the line, I noticed definite improvement in the areas mentioned.

Would I recommend the line? You betcha. Will I continue to use the DCL line? Yep. Would I purchase the line for myself? Absolutely. I encourage you to give the DCL line from Derm Warehouse a shot and and see what it will do for your skin in 10 days. Oh, and I’d love to know the results, so please leave me a comment below!

This would make a great Mother’s Day Gift, birthday gift, or but yourself a gift. And as an added bonus, you can get 20% Off All Products Until May 15th using the code DCLKARYN20 .

Disclosure: I was given these four products in the DCL skincare line to give you fine folks the scoop on what I thought. All opinions are my own!

Spread the love
