We headed to Pittsburgh, PA, for a Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announcement of its upcoming Broadway show season last Monday and it was so worth it! The special season ticket holder event was packed and, with folks anxiously anticipating the shows that will be making Broadway fans save the trip to Manhattan, Ken Rice made the announcements with celebratory cheers. Here’s six must-see Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Broadway shows coming to Pittsburgh for its 2017-2018 season and why you’ll need to check them out – and a special Hamilton in Pittsburgh announcement!

Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Cinderella


When: October 17-22, 2017 at the Benedum Center

In a Nutshell: Based on the hit film, this hilarious new musical follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star posing as a substitute teacher who turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. This high-octane smash features 14 new songs from ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER, all the original songs from the movie and musical theater’s first-ever kids rock band playing their instruments live on stage.

December 19-24, 2017  at Heinz Hall
