Why Disney Balloons Make Me Happy

Walking down Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom, I can’t help but notice the cast members standing on the street’s corners with dozens of balloon strings in their hands. Depending on the time of year and what’s popular, each has several different shapes and styles.

But there’s one thing they all have in common. They give me a huge case of the happies and I can’t help but take photos of them.

This photo was from our last visit to Walt Disney World mid-October. Frozen is still wildly popular and, with the announcement of a Star Wars themed area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there’s characters balloons from those movies as well.

I think it’s the combination of when I was a kid and balloons always meant something fun was about to happen and the realization that I’m seeing one of my favorite spots in the world and I’m standing exactly where I dream of when I’m not there that gives me the happies.

What sights give you the happies? Please let me know in the comment section below.
