You may wonder two things for this post. One, what’s a “tridge” and two, what exactly am I looking at in this photo?
The Tridge is the official name of the three-way footbridge in Midland, MI. Constructed in 1981, the tri-bridge allows folks to cross the Chippewa and Tittabawassee Rivers in the heart of the city.
I like to think of it as the flux capacitor of bridges. At least, that’s the first thing that came to mind when I saw it.
Each of the three legs is 180 feet long and the path is around eight feet in width.
