8 Top Romantic Spots at Disney World

Many think of Walt Disney World as mainly family friendly, but we beg to differ. There are weddings that take place on property every day and proposals are just as frequent (we’ve been lucky to witness a couple!). And then there’s folks on their honeymoons and others happy to be by each other’s side. In regards to on-property spots, there are plenty of romantic spots at Disney World to celebrate – and these are our fave.

Think of romance at Disney World and I can’t help but think of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom. The park icon has a walk through tunnel that’s perfect for romantic moments. At night? The lights, plus the surrounding ambiance and music make for a dream-come-true spot to keep the love alive.

Want some pre-opening Magic Kingdom photos? Here are four things you can do BEFORE rope drop at Magic Kingdom.

Romantic Spots at Disney World – A Restaurant Fit for Royalty

For me, when I think about the ultimate royal love story, I think about Queen Victoria & Prince Albert. Turns out the restaurant dedicated to the couple at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Victoria & Albert’s, feels the same way.

With three ways to dine (the Dining Room, Chef’s Table, or Queen Victoria Room), Chef Scott and his team have accolades out the you-know-what. With the accolades come premium seating and the need for reservations way in advance.

Aww, how sweet was the ballroom scene moment in “Beauty and the Beast”? It’s one of those movie moments that make me smile every time I watch. Be Our Guest restaurant in New Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom has done a fabulous job of recreating the ballroom down to the last details.

A counter service restaurant at lunch, it turns into sit down style for dinner. This one’s a plus for sommeliers, too: Be Our Guest offers Sparkling, Red, White, and Dessert Wines both by glass and bottle.

Looking for more great places to dine? Here’s a list of the best quick service restaurants at Walt Disney World.

Romantic Spots at Disney World – A “Little” Piece of the Sea

There’s a reason I’ve added Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid to this list. Bear with me for a second: think about a couple of the recreated scenes from “The Little Mermaid”. The scene with “Kiss the Girl” and the wedding scene? C’mon! For super fans of the movie these two spots during the slow-moving ride are all about love and that fairy tale ending we all want.

Romantic Spots at Disney World – A Grand Love Affair

A walk through Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is so beautiful many visit even if they’re not resort guests. The Grand Floridian Wedding Pavilion is so popular for both weddings and renewals that it’s booked years in advance. Views of Seven Seas Lagoon, plus the general splendor of the entire resort grounds keep the Disney love alive.

I recently visited Grand Floridian Resort for a character makeover and loved every second. Here’s why you should consider a Character Couture makeover.

Romantic Spots at Disney World – Top of the World Viewing

If you’re a Disney Vacation Club member, you probably know all about the Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower. Members and their guests can take in the views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks each night. The lounge is super popular during the fireworks and is a first come, first serve seating style so take your sweetie there with plenty of time to spare.

Romantic Spots at Disney World – A Taste of Italy

Even if the Italy Pavilion in World Showcase didn’t have top notch restaurants including Via Napoli and Tutto Italia, the ambiance and beauty of it is so romantic – especially at night. Traditional Italian music and lighting are a great mix for amor.

Looking for the most romantic spots at Walt disney world? Here's our favorites!

Romantic Spots at Disney World – Oui, Oui Mon Amour

Good thing I remember a few words of French for this one. France Pavilion, also in World Showcase, just has that lovely mix of beauty and music – and a mini Eiffel Tower just in case you can’t see the real thing soon. Amazing restaurants, including Monsieur Paul’s and Les Chefs de France, offer traditional French food and decadent desserts. Take a photo in front of the fountain any time of day for a romantic reminder of your visit.
