Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Night: Alive with New Attractions Beginning May 27, 2016

Harambe Night

There are some Walt Disney World repeat visitors that consider Disney’s Animal Kingdom a half-day park. They head to AK at rope drop, jump on Expedition Everest and Kali Rivers Rapids a few times, ride Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl, have a bite to eat, and then park hop to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Until now. Disney has announced that beginning May 27, 2016, Animal Kingdom will come alive with shows, attractions, and nighttime experiences on your favorite rides. Nighttime Magic is what they’re calling it, and I was…

Rivers of Light and Tree of Life Awakens -Disney’s Animal Kingdom Preview

Rivers of Light Disney's Animal Kingdom

When Disney announced that its new nighttime show, Rivers of Light, would premiere on April 22nd, the buzz was palpable. And then another announcement only a couple of weeks away from the premiere: technical difficulties would postpone the show without an announcement of a new date. My recent press trip for Awaken Summer offered a chance to check out portions of both Rivers of Light and the Tree of Life Awakens. The park has always closed early compared to the other three Disney World theme parks so it just made sense to us. Until now… Disney has released new details regarding 2016 updates for Animal Kingdom and I couldn’t be more pleased! Here’s two…

The Tree of Life: Disney’s Animal Kingdom #Disney

Being the Disney fans that we are, we’ve visited each park at Walt Disney World too many times to count. This past April, however, I made a point to slow down our frazzled park pace and stop to really admire the attention to details that Disney’s Animal Kingdom so willingly offers its guests. This photo is a close-up of a ram’s head carving and The Tree of Life. Standing over 145 feet tall, the park icon was commemorated to show the circle of life and includes at least 300 animal carvings.…
