# 1 – Miami Beach, Florida

We said recently that Florida is about more than just beaches. We stand by the statement, but for the sake of this article, we are going beach side once more with a trip to Miami Beach. This is an island city in South Florida, which, as you would expect, has water sporting opportunities galore.
This is an especially great spot if you fancy doing plenty of relaxing between sports, as the impressively wide, fine white sand beaches provide one of the best relaxation spots you could hope to find. Equally, Miami Beach is home to various great water sporting opportunities, including parasailing that’ll allow you to see all of the sights, and jet ski rentals as standard.
It is worth noting that Miami Beach is pretty famed for its strong riptides, so you’ll want to go steady when you’re out there. Luckily, most tourists would say that the risk is more than worthwhile for the sights and sports on offer.
# 2 – Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Idaho might not come to mind for water sports quite as quickly as Florida, but the hidden gem cite of Coeur d’Alene is a premier water sporting destination that you won’t forget in a hurry. You’ll certainly find some striking bodies of water on offer when you’re looking for things to do in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, including the impressive 25-mile-long Lake Coeur D’Alene.
Here, guests enjoy some of the best views in the city, where the calming freshwater conditions are fantastic for water sports, including wake-boarding and water skiing. # 3 – Chattanooga, Tennessee

If you love the idea of river adventures, then you might also want to head to Chattanooga, Tennessee, a city that’s set directly along the Tennessee River in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The river runs right through downtown, and recent redevelopments have made this a great water sporting spot for paddling, boating, and even whitewater rafting.
Chattanooga is also home to numerous lakes, including the astounding 36,000-acre reservoir of Chickamauga Lake, which is famed for its impressive boating opportunities. Soddy Lake & Chester Frost Park are also famed for their recreational activities, while Rainbow Lake provides a great scenic swimming spot en route to nearby Signal Mountain.
