I’ve been visiting Niagara Falls, Canada for as long as I can remember. And, since I can remember, it was always Clifton Hill that I wanted to spend my time. I’m also well aware of how much the attractions cost and I plan for it accordingly. But, can you actually get your money’s worth when visiting Clifton Hill? Here’s the scoop on the Clifton Hill Fun Pass, what’s included, and if it’s worth it.
Clifton Hill Fun Pass: What’s Included?
On a recent visit, six attractions were included in the Fun Pass:
- Niagara Skywheel
- Zombie Attack!
- Wild West Coaster 6D Theatre Ride
- Movieland Wax Museum
- Dinosaur Golf or Wizard’s Golf
- Ghost Blasters
You’ll also get a bonus five Midway game tokens.
If you walk up to the kiosk on Clifton Hill, this is the package deal. If you purchase online via its official website, you get a bonus spin on the Niagara Skywheel. At the time this post was written an adult Fun Pass will run you $29.95 plus taxes. For children under 13 years old, the cost for a Clifton Hill Fun Pass is $19.95 plus taxes. Each price is listed in Canadian currency, too.
Purchasing online was, honestly, a breeze and it’s the way I’d do it every time we visit. I got an email confirmation with a scannable code to take to any of the attraction location kiosks. All we had to do was show the code and, after validation, we received our passes.
Niagara Skywheel
The Niagara Skywheel was the highlight of the Clifton Hill Fun Pass. Honestly, it’s my favorite attraction on Clifton Hill, pass or no. With the addition of a bonus visit, it was a no-brainer to take a spin during the day and one at night when the lights were on The Falls.
Yes, the view was spectacular. But I love the fact that, no matter what time of year we visit, the gondolas are climate controlled. I didn’t have to freeze my butt off to see an aerial view of both the Canadian and American Falls.
Tip: If you want to see The Falls lit up, ask the kiosk attendants what time the lights are turned on. It helped us to plan our timing.
Zombie Attack!
Zombie Attack! is a new attraction on Clifton Hill and one that I’ll happily check out again. With 6D graphics, you’ll sit down, buckle up, and shoot zombies with a lazer-style gun. The graphics are really cool (you need to wear special glasses) and scores are tallied at the end. Zombie Attack! lasts for under 10 minutes, but the time does go super fast.
Wild West Coaster 6D Theatre Ride
Another 6D-style ride, this one’s just okay. Again, you buckle up, don special glasses, and hold on. The theme is a mine train gone awry, but the jerkiness and jolts of the ride are not that appealing. The graphics were really cool, though.
Movieland Wax Museum
Movieland Wax Museum is a fun way to pass 20 minutes. Honestly, the wax figures resemble the movie stars, but the details are not as impressive as what you’d see at a Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. There are a few spots to take photos, which are fun. Jimmy Fallon, The Obamas, and The Simpsons are must-takes.
I was impressed with the House of horrors section, though. If you have younger children that scare easily, you are able to bypass it. As they say, all attractions end in a gift shop and this was no exception. If you have an extra $20 or $30 dollars, you can make wax molds of your hands.
Dinosaur Golf or Wizard’s Golf
If you didn’t already know, when it comes to mini golf, I’m very competitive. I’m not the greatest at it, but I think I do okay. With the Clifton Hill Fun Pass there’s a choice of Dinosaur Adventure Golf (outdoors) or Wizards’ Golf (indoors). We’ve only ever tried the indoor version as it’s generally freezing when we visit. Having written that, Dinosaur golf is THE largest mini golf attraction in Canada and it looks super cool. It offers two 18-hole courses.
So let’s talk Wizard’s Golf for a sec. Formerly a space-themed golf experience, a recent update has made it funner than ever. There’s plenty of Harry Potter references that make the black lit course a hoot. You do have to walk down a set of stairs, and back up, to complete the course, which has never been a problem for us.
Ghost Blasters
I seriously adore Ghost Blasters. Located in the Midway, the ride is a fun way to shoot ghosts with laser guns. It’s maybe three or four minutes long, but it uses black lights so it’s very pretty. Special targets cause animated props to move, which can be scary for younger kiddos.
So, Is a Clifton Hill Fun Pass Worth it?
In a word, absolutely. As a gal that likes to weigh the cost of savings passes, two trips on the Niagara Skywheel and a trip on Ghost Blasters will practically pay for the pass. All the other attractions are a bonus. Here’s the cost per attraction:

- Zombie Attack! – $7.99
- Movieland Wax Museum – $10.99
- Wizards’ Golf or Dinosaur Adventure Golf – $9.99
- Wild West Coaster – $6.99

How to Save on the Clifton Hill Fun Pass
There are a couple of ways to save on the Fun Pass, but I didn’t see a bonus trip on the Niagara Skywheel if you do choose to book through a third party. TripAdvisor is offer a discount and I’ve seen Groupon selling it as well. At the time this post was written, two adult Clifton Hill Fun Passes cost $67.69 total in Canadian funds.
