When traveling internationally, you could choose to visit many different places in one trip or choose to visit only one country – and for good reason. But Europe is not only beautiful, its vastness makes for a well-rounded vacation. From gorgeous coasts and beaches to rich history, here’s why Europe should be your next international destination.

The world is full of beautiful places you should visit at some point or another in your life. There are so many sights and sounds to see in Asia, Africa, South America, and Oceania but, before visiting any of them, consider traveling to Europe. Read on to learn why Europe should be your next international destination.

You Can Get Where You Need To Go in Europe Easily

One of the biggest attractions of Europe is that there are so many wonderful countries and cities you can visit, and you don’t need to go on long road trips or take planes everywhere.

An extensive rail system easily connects these countries, so you can travel from London to Berlin to Paris to Rome and back again without ever breaking a sweat. There are sights to see around every corner of the continent, so be sure to travel to these spots. Don’t be afraid to also spend time in the quieter and less populated regions. Additionally, the cost of traveling via rail systems is highly affordable compared to flying or renting an economy car.

In addition to the extensive rail system, you’ll find plenty of resources to get where you’re going, even in an emergency. If, for whatever reason, your phone goes haywire or it falls into the water, there are resources available for you to get back to your lodging for the night safely. You can also find places to get your phone fixed or replaced.

Keep this in mind: always keep a list of important phone numbers in your wallet or bag when you’re traveling abroad just in case. The list should include your hotel, rental car, or train phone numbers as well as an emergency contact should you need them.

You Can Experience the Beach and the Ocean

When many people think of beach towns and the ocean, they think of places like Costa Rica, the Bahamas, and Florida. People don’t usually think of Europe as “tropical,” but Europe has endless waterfront beauty you’ll have to see to believe.

There are the coasts of Italy and Spain, and you can check out many European islands perfect for leisure and luxury. Check out Ischia off the coast of Italy, Mallorca off the coast of Spain, or the thousands of Croatian islands in the Adriatic Sea. Any will be perfect for a day away from the city and relaxing by the water.

Europe Has a Long History

Another reason Europe should be at the top of your destination list is it’s a continent brimming with history best experienced up close. Whether you’re looking at the Roman Colosseum or the Grecian Acropolis, you’ll be wowed by centuries upon centuries of history you can’t find anywhere else, particularly the United States.

In addition to the architectural sights throughout the country, you can visit the numerous museums that will take you through history, letting you get up close and personal with these nations’ beginnings.

Europe should be your next international destination, and you may even want to visit it again not too soon after. You won’t be able to experience all that Europe has to offer in a single trip, so make sure to pencil it into future trips to experience all the beauty across the Atlantic.
