Georgia, the state brimming with Southern charm, boasts a rich history, diverse landscapes, and a vibrant culture. To truly immerse yourself before your visit, consider getting acquainted with the state through the written word. Here’s a curated list of Georgia books to enhance your adventure.

When it comes to southern states, Georgia is one of my absolute favorites. I’ve walked under the giant Live Oaks in St. Simons Island and Savannah, visited the top attractions in Atlanta, and even explored the outdoors in Dunwoody. Each of these cities make me want to explore more of the state and I love learning about its history before I go. Here are 12 books to check out before you visit.
