If you’re planning a visit to Walt Disney World, saving money by looking for freebies is a great way to cut costs. And when it comes to Disney Springs, finding free stuff is easy to do if you know where to look. From staying hydrated to photo ops, here’s what’s free at Disney Springs in 2021!
Last year, Walt Disney World opted to take out a few of the hands-on activities like The sandbox at T-Rex Cafe and the Splash Pad in The Marketplace. When they come back, I’ll be sure to add them. In the meantime, here are all of the fun Disney Springs freebies that you can do right now!
Live Entertainment
When you’re walking around Disney Springs (here’s the map of Disney Springs for reference), keep an eye out for live entertainment. In 2021, artists tend to be local, which is a fun way to get them on the radar, but it’s also a great way to sit, relax, and enjoy a free show.
In general, you’ll find most of the entertainment around The Marketplace and the large stage.
Admission
Getting into Disney Springs is always free – yay!
Look for Hidden Mickeys
Need a quick way for kiddos to occupy some time? Start looking for hidden Mickeys! Disney Springs has plenty everywhere from the fencing to the stores and near the ground.

Parking
Using any of the covered parking garages or surface lots doesn’t cost a dime.
Transportation
Transportation to and from Walt Disney World Resorts and to the theme parks in the afternoon is another great freebie.
Free Water & Ice
Any restaurant or kiosk that’s serving fountain drinks can give you free glasses of ice water. All you need to do is queue up and ask.
Wifi
All four Disney World theme parks offer free wifi as well as Disney Springs. Truthfully, sometimes it can be spotty but it’s definitely better than using all of your own data.
Photo Ops
Walking around Disney Springs, you’ll notice plenty of places for cute photos. While many of these are Disney Springs-themes, look for the ones that feature recent Disney movies.
Additionally, if you’re an Annual Passholder, the Disney Photopass Studio in The Marketplace offers free virtual photos using theme park backgrounds. If you’re not an Annual Passholder but have Memory Maker, you can use the virtual photos service complimentary as well.
Ferry Boat Rides
If you’ve got some free time, hop on the resort ferryboat and do the circuit. Not only is the ride a leisurely one, you’ll hit the following resorts on your ride:
- Port Orleans Resort—French Quarter
- Port Orleans Resort—Riverside
- Old Key West Resort
- Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
LEGO Store Play
There are plenty of ways for kids to have fun at Disney Springs, but one of the best is by hanging out at the LEGO Store and test driving some blocks.
On weekends and high level crowd days, there will be a wait to get into the store but, once you do, you can spend as much time as you’d like inside.
Watch an Artist at Work
Head to The Art of Disney in The Marketplace to see a real Disney artist drawing live. The artists will either be drawing a character to add to the store’s sale collection or by request.
My teen LOVES this one. At The Art of Disney, artists specializing in Disney animation often make appearances. While it costs nothing to watch the masters at work, you can purchase pre-made sketches or have one specially created.
