Think of Leonardo Da Vinci and the first thing you probably think of is his ability to paint. But did you know he was also highly skilled at creating musical instruments, hydraulics, and light? Happily, Carnegie Science Center (CSC) is ready for our curiosity of the master with Da Vinci the Exhibition. Opening February 16, 2019 and offering over 60 of his inventions, here’s what you need to know before you visit.
Apart from Mona Lisa, the Da Vinci painting, Genevra de’ Benci caught my eye when I took my family to the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. And, while the painting is beautiful, the story behind it is even more intriguing, not to mention the backside of the painting is ornately detailed as well.
And it then occurred to me how much Da Vinci thrived on attention to detail. I’m sure a lot of people have realized that fact well before I did, but it’s like a light went off in my head. Since then, I’ve been absorbing as much information on his projects, paintings, and inventions.
Having the chance to check out Da Vinci the Exhibition at Carnegie Science Center was a dream come true. Here’s what you need to know before you visit.
