A recent visit to Washington, DC found us right in the heart of the 2017 Nation’s Capital Pride Fest. That day we took hundreds of photos of the crowds, the ambiance, and the fun. It was really hard narrowing down our 10 favorites, but it all came down to this: love. And while sometimes it’s hard to feel the emotion of a day based only on photos, these 10 caught our eye and filled our hearts with love.
2017 DC Pride Fest and Block Party
Love is love. I wholeheartedly agree with this statement, as does my family. And taking my teenage daughter to 2017 Nation’s Capital Pride Fest Parade in Washington, DC this year was a way to show our support for all who love.
The parade was a chance for attendees and participants to be prideful in who they are. LOVE that so much.
McDonald’s was giving out all of the smoothies you could handle and their shirts said it all.
We arrived early to grab a good viewing spot for the 2017 Nation’s Capital Pride Fest Parade and had the pleasure of chatting with these fun gentlemen.
You can clearly see that the day was all about fun and friendship and being who you want to be right at that moment. I love how the light emulates the rainbow streamers in the background on this one.
This girl was so happy to share with us her moment in Dupont Circle at Pride Fest. That smile says everything.
Love Is Love
This photo says so much about acceptance. Made me smile.
These guys were the coolest. They saw me snapping photos and asked if I’d take one of them. My reply? Only if I can get in the photo, too!
One of the many elaborate costumes in the 2017 Nation’s Capital Pride Fest Parade. My fave part of this pic? The crowd behind the marchers.
