Another month, another IPSY subscription! This month my glam bag had five fun products that I can’t wait to try out. I think they cater to warmer weather, too. So, what did I get in my IPSY April 2017 Glam Bag? Here’s the scoop.
LUXIE Precision Foundation Brush
First thought? I’m loving the periwinkle handle color. The brush itself is super soft, but I’m not sure about using it for foundation. Honestly, it feels too soft for that task. Instead, I love the tapering so I’ll try it as a bronzer brush. Speaking of bronzer…
ciate Bamboo Bronzer in Palm Island
This bronzer sample from ciate is large enough to throw in my travel makeup bag, so that’s a bonus. As for the color, it’s pretty pigmented so a little goes a long way, especially if you have a lighter skin tone. If you’re looking to use this a contour, I’d probably skip it. It’s much too warm to look natural.
THEORIE Marula Oil Transforming Hair Serum
Love that it’s sulfate free! It’s safe for both color and keratin-treated hair, too. It has very little scent, so that’s good, too – especially if you love the scents of your other hair products. I’m planning on putting a few drops on the ends of my hair at its next wash. Let’s hope its claims for restoring moisture and shine work!
Adessa Cupuacu Butter Lip Balm
First thought? Super pretty color for spring. I’m all about baby pink this year. While I’m loving its scent (smells like Christmas. It’s pretty strong and cinnamon-y.), it is very noticeable. The color goes on super pale with a hint of shimmer so there’s not a ton of color payoff.
Elizabeth Mott Show me Your Glow Shimmer Shadow & Highlighter
Ok, I’m loving this color. A natural sand color, it’s not super glowy. if you’re looking for a strobing effect, this one won’t give it to you. Instead, I’ll use it on my brow bone, inner eye, and middle of lid. Does have a buttery feel and that’s a good thing.
