Wow, January certainly flew by like a strong storm (happily, we didn’t get many of those last month)! With the ringing in of the new year, new beauty and travel products caught my eye – and I’m happy to share with you my favorites and things we love (and continue to love!) for January 2017.
ALEX AND ANI Living Water Bangle
Not only are the ALEX AND ANI bangles super popular for Disney fans (the Walt Disney World shops have a hard time keeping them in stock!), but the company’s latest endeavor, Living Water, is literally charity by design. The Charm is not only beautiful, but eco-conscious, and the company is donating 20% of the purchase price to Living Water International, helping communities acquire clean water that’s so desperately needed. I’m happy to sport this one on my wrist for a good cause – and a good look.
Until I began whitening my teeth, I didn’t realize that I needed to whiten them, dig? With the Smile Brilliant kit, you send in your custom trays (really easy and even if you screw up they send you additional material to retry!), whitening and desensitizing gels, and you pick your own schedule. While any time of day is a good thing, if you have sensitive teeth, bedtime is best. After only a few sessions I’ve noticed whiter teeth (yay!) and can’t wait to show you the full results soon.
Besame Cosmetics Lipsticks
Let’s chat about Besame Cosmetics for a sec. The line is inspired by makeup from the 1920’s to the 1970’s and, as a gal that loves the old days of glam, I have to jump online with every new email that I receive from them. They have cake mascara, face powder that will change your life, and even a “Decades of Fragrance” collection. To go with my new, whiter smile, I’m so in love with its line of true replica lipstick colors. Each is named after the year it was popular in and the pigment, as well, as the quality and consistency are unlike no others. The process is as old school as the colors (apply, blot, apply, blot, apply) and the long wear keeps going for hours.
ABTOR USB-C 3.0 Hub for MacBook
When I was gifted a now MacBook Pro from Mr. Locke at Christmas, one of the first questions was, “Where do I plug in my iPhone?” Cusious for me, there is no standard USB posts on my MacBook. Here’s where the ABTOR comes in: three USB ports in one, little, convenient adapter. Problem solved.
Trrtlz is an amazing company! It encourages folks to buy its inexpensive, stretchy bracelets, wear them (the colors will fade over time – and that’s a good thing), and share your story of how they changed with others – by sharing your bracelets with them so they can continue it. I’m already seeing mine look weathered and worn and can’t wait to start sharing them with folks.
Kandee Johnson Sinful Colors Nail Polish
Ok, maybe a little TMI here, but a bath before bed is “me” time. It’s then that I stream YouTube from Google Chromecast to our bathroom tele and watch my subscribed beauty channels. Not only super relaxing for me, I can catch up on all of the latest makeup tutorials and beauty products that day. One of my faves, Kandee Johnson, is so positive and upbeat I really look forward to her latest videos. Her latest endeavor, Kandee Johnson for Sinful Colors, has fun shades and textures in its nail polish line. I’m really loving the Sugar colors and texture, and Pink Velvet, Mint Apple, and Works Like a Charm are brightening up my fingers even though January has been more gray than sunny.
Dunkin’ Donuts Premium Breakfast Tea Sachets
For the love of tea! Dunkin’ Donuts Premium Teas are now available in store or to go in boxes of 15 and, with five flavors, there’s one for everyone. Two caffeine-infused varieties (I’m loving the English Breakfast style) and three herbal, caffeine-free styles are keeping me super happy. The pyramid sachets are pretty and effective (no loose tea leaves at the bottom of my cup) and the ability to steep at home is brilliant for those days that I want to stay in my jammies all day.
Simple Mills Baking Products & Frostings
There are days when I love diving into a complex recipe. Then there are days when I have only a few minutes to whip something together. I’m straying away from conventional boxed baking mixes and have been looking for healthier options. Enter Simple Mills. Each of their products have whole food ingredients and zero preservatives. Thank you, Simple Mills, for making delicious, easy-to-make products for folks like me.
Disclosure: We are very blessed to receive products for consideration and review and several of these have been gifted to us. All opinions are my our own!
