Vacation like it’s 1991 at Maumee Bay State Park Lodge

Remember when your grandparents would talk about the good old days and how they could buy bread for 10 cents a loaf and, compliments of inflation the price has increased to 10 times as much? Or how about you? How many times have you told the kids or spouse it’s simply too expensive to vacation this year?

Ohio State Park Lodges is offering the chance to vacation like it’s 1991 beginning May 1, 2016! I remember 1991 quite fondly, actually. I was in high school, Silence of the Lambs was my new favorite movie, and ahh, the music on the radio. GREAT year.

Maumee Bay State Park Lodge is celebrating its 25th anniversary on that date and it’s kicking off an entire year of affordable getaways including the KIDS EAT, STAY, and PLAY FREE package this summer. Kids 12 and under eat free from the Kids’ Menu at participating state park lodge restaurants with each paying adult (maximum of two free children’s meals per paying adult and two children per room reservation), and may stay free of charge.

Happy 25th Anniversary, Maumee Bay!

On May 1st, Maumee Bay State Park Lodge will host a celebration fit for families. If you want to jump at the chance to score opening date rates, the lodge is offering $79 per night rates May 1-4, 2016. I’m sure they’re going to book quickly, so if you’re considering a spring getaway, book now and use the promo code HAPPY25 . The lodge is also giving away 25 vacations when you register in person, will offer limited-edition anniversary merchandise, and a commemorative dessert and cocktail will be available at Water’s Edge Restaurant and Ice Breakers Lounge.

The anniversary event includes:
  • 25 vacation giveaways
  • Original opening day lodging rates of $79.00 (May 1-4, 2016 stays)
  • Brunch at Water’s Edge restaurant
  • Cake and ice cream
  • Children’s activities
  • Live animal presentations
  • Appearances by Bucky the mascot

Full Disclosure: I, personally, have never visited Maumee Bay Lodge but if it’s anything like its sister properties, Punderson Manor or Deer Creek, you’re in for a fun time!

Spread the love
