Trekking Through the Snow

Remember when you were a kid and you couldn’t wait to throw on your winter boots, jacket, scarf, hat, mittens, and in my case, snow pants, and race outside to be the first to make tracks in the snow?

I never remember being cold when I was a kid so it was a lot easier back then. Now, with each passing winter, warmer climates become more and more appealing to me.

But this photo and the way the sun is making the snow sparkle makes me think of those younger years in Eastern Canada and Northern Maine. This week we received our first batch of snow in Eastern Ohio and it really is beautiful.

If there was only a way to have snow for maybe one week a year and then 70 degree weather the rest of it I’d be all set.

Here’s to footprints in the snow and sand or in our case, sand and snow.

Happy travels!
